Corrie baddie, Todd Boyce announced as Mother Goose panto star

The latest baddie to walk the Coronation Street cobbles, Todd Boyce will be joining the cast of this year’s Derby Arena panto Mother Goose as the fowl-playing, Demon Vanity.


The leading actor, originally from America, who trained at National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney, Australia has starred in blockbuster films and series including The Crown (Netflix), Sherlock (BBC), Beaver Falls (Channel 4), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as well as numerous stage performances. He is currently portraying the now infamous Stephen Reid in ITV’s Coronation Street. 

Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment - the award-winning team behind smash-hit Derby pantomimes are announcing this year’s star alongside other key cast members including familiar faces from pantomimes past. 

Derby’s beloved award-winning panto dame Morgan Brind returns as Mother Goose. A much-loved matriarch to her quackers family who live in Squalkstone. 

Kristian Cunningham, 2022’s Aladdin and local lad makes his return to Derby Arena’s stage as Benedict.  

Nicola Martinus-Smith, who also starred in Aladdin as Princess Amira returns to the cast line-up as Rosemary. 
Firm fan-favourite, Roddy Peters (Norman Ton in Sleeping Beauty) returns to the Arena to star as Baron Wasteland.

We’re hatching a plan to make Mother Goose an action-packed adventure guaranteed to have the whole family honking with laughter.Join us on this flight of fancy for this egg-stra special show packed full of hilarious yokes! It’s going to be cracking! 

Mother Goose has a loving family who drive her quackers, a bird sanctuary for peaky poultry in the village of Squalkstone and even a magical goose that lays golden eggs. She has everything anyone could possibly wish for, except the one thing she really wants, to be beautiful.

When she makes a deal with Demon Vanity a little fowl play means she gets a lot more than she bargained for.

With s-peck-tacular sets, breath-taking special effects, egg-squisite costumes and mountains of mayhem, the team behind previous smash-hit Derby Arena pantomimes are hatching a plan to make this the perfect action-packed adventure guaranteed to have the whole family honking with laughter.

Mother Goose lands at Derby Arena on Friday 8 December. Tickets £30 - £18. Concessions, group and family tickets are available. We also have a number of access performances including audio description, BSL signed, captions and relaxed shows.
