DLRAA Receives Donation From Chevin Golf Club
On Wednesday 7th June 2023, Chevin Golf Club donated £4576.00 and a further £12.41 for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
Richard Fletcher & Vivien Crowther
Vivien Crowther (Ladies Captain 2022) from the Chevin Golf Club presented Richard Fletcher Derbyshire Community Representative for DLRAA, with the money at their Summer Garden Party in Duffield. The donation came as Viv chose to raise money for us as Ladies Captain for 2022 from events held throughout the year, which included a Captains Charity Day, A Pirate Theme Garden Party run by Viv, 2 Fashion Shows, making and selling book angels for a Christmas event and there were several other activities throughout 2022.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the cheque from Viv and Chevin Ladies Section the challenges they set and achieved are truly amazing and to hear their journeys was fantastic. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding, therefore support from people such as Viv and Chevin Ladies Section really is invaluable and this money raised will help us save 3 lives and is helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.”
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and has carried out more than 24,000 Rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700 with DLRAA completing on average 8-10 missions every single day, 365 days a year
