Cromford's long-running and joyful celebration of the apple harvest.

Bring along your surplus crop (minimum a box or bag-for-life-full, or we will have spare fruit here) for you, your children or us to scrat to pulp and press to juice, plus a knife for initial quartering and containers for your product or just come along to enjoy the scene, with children's activities, live music and Morris dancing, snail-racing (bring your contestants?), stalls and refreshments and a horticultural expert to present and advise.

PS we can press pears grapes or soft fruit but a muslin-type bag may be needed.

You can drop off fruit and passengers in Scarthin, but parking in Scarthin, Water Lane and the Market Place is limited. Parking (with metres) is plentiful adjacent to Cromford Mills and Wharf, DE4 3RQ.

Cromford is served by rail from Nottingham, by Transpeak buses from Derby and Buxton, Trent 6's from Derby and Belper and X17 double-deckers from Sheffield and Chesterfield.
