Welcome. We are The Drop Inn independent Youth organisation and registered charity (1085617).
Foundation for youth Innovation.
Youth / Multimedia / Community & Training centre.
Mission: To consistently strive to expand, develop and improve our services and opportunities for our staff, volunteers, and young people within the community.
Youth: Our experienced and qualified team offer support and signposting on any issues faced by young people aged 12 -19 including bullying, alcohol/substance misuse, cv writing, entry into employment, health and sexual health, relationships etc.
We encourage good social skills, help improve self esteem and promote mutual respect.
Social sessions are in a safe space designed and run by young people, there is no entry fee or registration to ensure full inclusion. For more youth activities check out our DiBar.
We do everything we can to support the future generation.
Multimedia: Our creative volunteers have expanded the youth organisation and influenced more creativity through some innovative projects.
The Playful and Creative ethos of The Drop Inn has been there from the beginning and has now evolved into being a recognised multi-media organisation with excellent facilities including; The JamJar (music space), Cinn (projection space), DJ Drop Zone, DecoyTV (lens based media crew), Frankenstein (sound system), Arc (art collective), and many more ...
We welcome young people to use our award winning youth venue to express their creativity, build confidence and develop new skills.
Community: At The Drop Inn we believe in community cohesion and take any opportunity to link our young members with other areas of the community through projects such as our intergenerational ‘Linking Lives’, helping out at fetes and fairs, litter picking as part of our environmental projects, and working alongside other groups running disability inclusion projects and helping to raise funds for other charities.
We have an excellent working relationship with the local Safer Neighbourhood Team helping tackle anti social behaviour through diversion schemes.
We are known for some of our crazy fundraising ideas, please visit the project page to find out more about our fundraising projects.
Training: The Drop Inn training team are qualified and experienced in various subjects offering creative solutions to education. We are a registered NOCN centre and can offer accredited Entry 3, Level 1 and 2 qualifications along with non accredited courses, workshops and training.
We are a specialist service with personal development and team work skills at the heart of all our sessions. Tailor made courses to meet the needs of each individual learner. Please see what alternative education packages we offer through our Eddi (EDucation at the Drop Inn) program.
