Reflexology is more than 4000 years old. Both Egyptian and Chinese civilizations have a history of healing using reflexology techniques.
Gentle Reflexology is a subtle gentle form of reflexology that uses a light and soothing touch on the feet and hands.It is designed to enhance the body’s own healing ability and uses a holistic approach treating the body as whole taking account of mind, body and spirit. It can help people physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Reflexology is a wonderful relaxing method of re-balancing our body’s natural ability to heal itself and treat the person as a whole and not as a list of symptom.
In reflexology the hand and feet represent the body, with body parts laid out in a similar arrangement, for example the big toe representing the head and the pelvis area found in the heel.
The foot contains over 7,200 nerve endings which are stimulated during reflexology treatments. By applying gentle massaging pressure it can help to stimulate the body’s own system, encouraging the body to heal and energise on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. It increases the sense of well being.
