Charlotte Blackman was tragically killed whilst on holiday at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, with her family and boyfriend, by a landslide on Burton Bradstock Beach, Dorset, on Tuedsay 24 July 2012, aged just 22.
Charlotte was an inspirational, beautiful young lady, whose love and passion for life touched many. Her motto ‘life is too short to be anything but happy’ truly encapsulates her as a person.
Her family and friends were a huge part of her life, her Mum Rachel, Dad Kev, sister Sinead and brother Mitchell, together with her childhood sweetheart Matt, whom she shared so many plans with, for a bright future together.
Since leaving school she had worked with the elderly and more recently had spent much of her spare time caring for autistic children. Her selfless attitude and genuine need and desire to care for others was evident in everything she did.
Her family and friends wish to continue Charlotte’s work and leave a lasting legacy in her name. The Charlotte Blackman Memorial Fund has been set up, which through donations and fund raising will raise awareness and vital funds for local charities and organisations that support Autistic and Vulnerable Children.
