Police patrols aim to ensure Ripley fair stays safe
Officers from the Ripley Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team are stepping out with their plans to ensure the annual charter fair stays safe.
Patrols are being put on by police officers, PCSOs and Special Constables as part of the campaign and officers will also be using a mobile CCTV van alongside the cameras operated by Amber Valley Borough Council.
PC Rich Marshall of the Ripley Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team has been helping to organise the policing operation behind the event.
He said: “We want the charter fair to be as successful as in previous years, and to ensure that it stays a fun, friendly and safe environment for all members of the community to enjoy.
“As part of the initiative we will be working alongside partnership agencies and anti-social behaviour and disorder will not be tolerated.”
The Ripley Charter Fair is set to take place between Wednesday, October 22 and Monday, October 27.
