Come and join us at the Community Garden for some hands-on activities with a view to educating and enjoying our native wildlife.
Just some of the activities planned are as follows:
- Make pine cone bird feeders to help our feathered friends
- Hammer together a creature house kit and make a home for insects
- Get mucky with clay and make wildflower seed bombs
- Help refurb the bug hotel
- Have a look at what lurks in our ponds and be amazed
- Have a look at our honey bee hives and learn all about them from our beekeepers
- Learn how to do wildlife friendly gardening and planting for pollinators
- Join our expert bird spotter and see what you can identify in the garden
- Help make a willow tunnel using willow weaving techniques
- Scavenger hunt with prizes
- Story telling
Refreshments and cakes will be for sale. Please bring a reusable cup/mug if you have one!
How to find us: The Garden is on Hassock Lane South, DE75 7JE.
We are in between Pit Lane and Long Lane, look out for our signs!
If travelling by car, there is parking along the road and nearby.
There is also a bus stop right outside the entrance to the Garden and a Bicycle stand on site.
