Tram Operations Delayed at Crich Tramway Village
Crich Tramway Village, home to the National Tramway Museum, has had to delay operating their vintage tram service until Saturday 23rd March 2024.
The attraction was due to open fully from Saturday 16th March, but the tram operation is unfortunately delayed until the following Saturday 23rd March, due to an unforeseen technical issue with the overhead line equipment.
Other parts of the museum will be open from 16th March, including the exhibitions, workshop viewing gallery, tram depots and woodland walk and sculpture trail.
A reduced price of just £5 for an adult day ticket will apply from Saturday 16th March to Thursday 21st March, and children will be admitted free during this time.
Existing annual tickets are of course still valid. Any annual tickets that expire 9th March to the 23rd March will be extended a further week.
General Manager, Dr Mike Galer, said:
“We are so sorry for the inconvenience, but safety is our priority here at Crich.
“Anyone who has bought an online annual ticket will have this honoured from the day of their visit. There are trams still viewable in the museum area.”
