Amber Valley Jobs Fair - Friday 16th October 2015
Next Friday Nigel Mills MP for Amber Valley is holding his fourth Jobs Fair at Ripley Leisure Centre from 10am to 4pm.
Previous events have seen thousands of constituents attend, with hundreds finding work or training opportunities as a direct result. The jobs fair is open to all those seeking employment or a new opportunity and we encourage people of all ages to attend and meet the local employers and training providers who will be there on the day.
We have some fantastic local employers attending the Jobs Fair offering job vacancies and opportunities, including the Manthorpe Group, Owen Taylor & Son, BPI Recycled Products, Birchwood Homecaring Services, David Nieper, Derby County FC, HL Plastics, McDonalds, Leonard Cheshire Disability, GI Group, IKEA and Deb, as well as many more.
Also attending are education, training and apprenticeship providers such as the National Citizen Service, Being Your Own Boss, Babcock International and QA Associates. PeoplePlus and Being Your Own Boss will also be running free seminars for those that attend with advice on interview techniques and job applications.
Amber Valley Borough Council will be providing free car parking to those attending the fair and Trentbarton are offering a half-price zigzag ticket for people travelling to the fair on the day – the voucher can be downloaded from the website – www.ambervalleyjobsfair.co.uk.
Nigel Mills MP said: “These jobs fairs are a great way to bring employers, training providers and jobseekers together, to help bring unemployment in Amber Valley down even further. There will be a wide range of organisations offering a variety of opportunities for full-time and part-time positions, and for people of all ages. I hope to see you there next week.”
