Shipley Country junior parkrun is the younger sibling to our main Saturday parkrun event. junior parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 2k event on a Sunday morning exclusively for children aged 4-14 years old (parents, guardians and older siblings can take part but won#t get a time).
junior parkrun is all about giving children a free burst of activity in a safe and fun outdoor environment.
There is no cut off time, so whether your child wants to run, jog, walk, skip, fairy dance or whatever the current trend is then they are most welcome.
We also welcome volunteers, so if your junior is brave and wants to run off ahead, or you want to volunteer with your junior then there is a space for you on our junior parkrun roster.
We meet near the large children's play area behind the Visitor's Centre. There is a first timers and tourist brief at 855am and a pre-event brief and warm up just before 9am.
