Woodbridge is a friendly and caring school with about 120 pupils. It is a place where your children can feel safe, confident and valued.
We teach all key subjects and we continually review our curriculum to ensure that we are inspiring children to learn and making that learning fun. Children are included and consulted about their curriculum through our very active School Council. We provide a stimulating and inspiring learning environment that utilises the latest developments in information technology. We feel it is important to help children develop the communication and technological skills they will need as they grow and move onto the next stage of their education. We believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that both children and adults learn new things every day. We teach children to take responsibility for their learning. Regular open days and exhibitions are held for children to share what they have been learning about.

We provide not only for their academic needs but also their emotional and social development. We value the benefits of running programmes such as Positive Play and we work closely with other professional agencies to ensure all children’s needs are met.
We work closely with our main feeder infants school so that transition from infants to juniors is an exciting time full of new possibilities and opportunities. [Woodbridge pupil] As well as specific transition days in the summer, we also look for opportunities to make links throughout the rest of the year. We have strong links with Alfreton Grange Secondary School and we prepare children well for this important transition.
