Belper Historical Society is the prime historical society for the town. We have and maintain a large archive of items relevant to the history of the Town in the forms of photographs, documents and physical items.
Meetings of the Belper Historical Society are held monthly except for August, in the Strutt’s Centre (the former Herbert Strutt School) on Derby Road, Belper, DE56 1UU.
The society has a presence in No.28 on the Market Place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Farmers Market, held on the second Saturday of each month (except January). Please pop in and we’ll endeavour to answer questions and provide information.
