Belcanto a new style of male singing Group
Tired of singing the traditional male voice music performed by most Male Voice Choirs 7 men, an MD and an Accompanist set up a new type of group. Their aim was to concentrate more on Music from the 60's to 90's. Belcanto (Italian for Beautiful Music)was created and numbers slowly rose to 15 and we were then able to perform in public. Originally based at Sawmills we eventually outgrew the hall and 2 years ago we moved to our present Home in Belper. Numbers are now at 21 and we are now eager to increase again
Since our move to Belper we can now spread our catchment area a bit further to include Belper itself, Ripley and Duffield so I am writing to ask if you could extend our invitation to consider joining us to the men of both towns. Experience is not needed but enthusiasm is.
